I. Executive Summary
Among OECD member countries, South Korea has the largest consumption of water. But the price of tap water is lowest in the OECD. These facts have caused people to use water excessively without worrying about water bills. This is why Korean people do not perceive Korea as a water shortage country. Therefore just increasing water supply bills will not have much effect on consumer prices across the nation.
Usually females have the responsibility to secure at least water needed to be used daily by their own family. Also, about 80% of water related jobs in the world are occupied by women. As for that, women already have the right to actively participate in controlling water usage. Consequently, water related issues should be emphasized to women.
