일한 질량의 추를 설치하고 체적을 동일하게 하더라도 Target plate 형상을 90, 120, 180 으로 바꾸었더니 Target plate에 충돌하여 일정한 체적이 되기 위한 시간은 다르다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 동일한 Target plate 형상이더라도 추의 질량의 차이에 의하여 동일한 체적이 되기 위한 시간은 추의 질량이 가벼울수록 크다는 것을 알 수 있다.

| 뇌 간 (brain stem)
뇌간은 중뇌(midbrain), 교뇌(pons), 연수(medulla oblongata)로 구성되어 있으며 그 뒤는 소뇌(cerebellum)에 의해 덮여 있다.
소뇌를 제거하면 뇌간의 중간에 제4뇌실(4th ventricle)의 바닥인 능형오목(rhomboid fossa)이 관찰된다. 대체적으로 능형오목의 좌우 꼭지점을 잇는 선을 기준으로 잡아 그 하부는 연수가 되고 그 상부는 교뇌와 중뇌가 된다.
