[지층의 기준이 되는 bed이 개념 및 종류에 대하여]
1. Beds
(1) Lithostratigraphic unit에 있어서 최소단위이다.
(2) Stratified 되어 있어야 하며 위아래의 layer와 구별되어져야 한다.
- 이 구별은 bedding plane의 존재로 인식할 수 있는데 이것은 바로 퇴적조건의 변화를 의미한다.
